Backyard Overnighter
Ethan was very sad to miss out on the Camp Wa-Tam sleepover and candyfest on Thursday night. On the way home from the camp performance, he asked if we could do our own campout in the backyard. My response, "why not?! That sounds like fun, but we need to wait until the weekend." So...Saturday afternoon we visited the candy store to buy a few treats and then after dinner we noshed on gummies and got ready for our backyard sleepover. The kids fell asleep at a decent hour and slept through the night (minus one trip to the potty with Ethan at 3am). We slept soundly until 7am, waking up to a little dew and lots of sunshine. Gotta love fun family time!

Camp Wa-Tam
Alanna finished her second week of Camp Wa-Tam on Friday. She said camp was really great and exciting. Favorite activities included canoeing, archery, crafts, and the sleepover. On Thursday evening we attended the camp performance, which included songs and skits by each camp group, as well as songs performed by the entire camp. The show was really fun and it was clear Alanna was having a blast. After the performance, we helped her set-up for the camp sleepover. On Friday morning I picked up a tired, dirt covered girl, who had a great time sleeping under the stars at Howarth Park.

Road Trip to Oregon
We had an awesome time visiting Jon, Laura, Abby, and Henry in Oregon! Bryan and Eve flew out from NY as well. It was great getting everyone together, it has been awhile. The cousins were super cute and loved playing with each other.

Fourth of July
After packing for our upcoming road trip, we celebrated the 4th with a little swimming at Mom and Dad's, barbecuing, and watching fireworks. The fireworks display was really great and we had a spectacular view from the synagogue parking lot. Congregation members were able to pay a small fee to attend a carnival that evening, which included a clown, face painting, live music, and a pot-luck dessert. We had prime seats to watch the show, while sipping vino and eating sweets with family and good friends. It was a terrific night!

Fun with Cousins
