It is hard to believe Ethan is 4 weeks old today! Time has been flying by. We enjoyed visits during the past week from Uncle Jon, Uncle Bryan, and our friends Jamie, Tate, Lilian, and Kirsten. We had lots of fun spending Tuesday and Wednesday with Grandma Ellen. Yesterday was my second day flying solo, I took A & E for a walk on the
trail, and even braved a trip to the supermarket.

Life with a toddler and a newborn has definitely been busy! Justin went back to work on Monday. I am so fortunate to have my parents close by, my Mom came over Sunday night and has spent most of the week with us. Not only is she terrific company, but she has been so helpful. Alanna has so much fun with her Grandma El. Next week we are going to spend a few days at my parent's house and then I am going to be flying solo. It is going to be challenging, but I know I can do it!

I finally have some free time to post some pictures (I should be napping!). Hope you enjoy.

You probably heard the big news...Ethan Samuel Magers arrived on Friday, May 30th!

I won't get into the gory details, but here is a quick play-by-play of my labor and delivery:
*I began having contractions around 10am
*Called the doctor's office around 10:45am
*Calls to Justin and Dad were made at 11am
*Dad and Alanna headed to Santa Cruz at 11:45am
*Arrived at the hospital at noon
*The doctor ruptured my membranes at 1pm
*Ethan arrived at 1:31pm
*He was 8 pounds, 6 ounces and 20 inches
*Delivered the little guy without pain meds (go me!)

We came home from the hospital yesterday around noon and are settling in. Justin and I are definitely feeling sleep deprived, but that's no surprise. I will add more photos soon. Need to go attend to my kids...wow, I can now say kids, plural!
