Last Wednesday we had a small play date at our house with Isabella and Dax. The kids really had a terrific time playing together. At one point, Alanna asked to get in her crib; of course Bella and Dax wanted to join her, so the 3 kids were in the crib together. They were jumping up and down, saying, "no more monkeys, no more monkeys," Nicole, Susan, and I were laughing hysterically. Fortunately the crib didn't break!

Today I took Alanna to Emma Prusch Farm Park in San Jose. She enjoyed looking at the animals from a distance, if they got too close, she got scared. I guess if I were her size, a sheep or pig would look monstrous to me too! I think the ducklings were her favorite. She really enjoyed riding on the 2 antique tractors. Here are some pictures I took:

Yesterday we went to Brady's 2nd birthday party at Pump It Up in Sunnyvale. It is an "Inflatable Party Zone," filled with bounce houses, slides, and small obstacle courses. We had a blast!

Yesterday we also put a "big girl" bed in Alanna's room. We want Alanna to get used to it being in her room, before we make the transition from her crib to the bed. She really likes playing on it and pretending to sleep. She looks so tiny on a twin size bed!

Justin took pictures of his girls making brownies for dessert tonight. Alanna had fun pouring in the oil and stirring the batter.

Here are a couple of pictures that I took this morning before we went to synagogue. Alanna has been walking around the house today saying, "Happy New Year," it's pretty cute.

L'shanah tovah! To those that this applies to, may you and your family have a happy and healthy new year!

Tonight at sunset, we begin celebrating Rosh Hashanah. My folks are coming over for dinner and then we will go to synagogue. Alanna is going to attend her first children's service with me tomorrow.

Alanna's just like her Daddy, she loves Mexican food. Tonight she and Justin enjoyed burritos from Super Taqueria.

Labor Day weekend is drawing to a close...it's been really fun. On Friday night, after dinner at Pedro's in Los Gatos, we headed down to Santa Cruz to visit my parents and escape from the heat. On Saturday morning, Alanna got her bangs cut and then J, A, and I headed to Anna Jean Cummings Park in Soquel to play. In the afternoon, after nap time, we all headed to the beach. Alanna had so much fun digging in the sand with Grandma Ellen and playing in the waves with Daddy. We had a delicious BBQ dinner with Mom and Dad. We headed home after breakfast on Sunday and went for a swim after lunch. In the late afternoon, we headed to Christy and Kevin's (friends from Davis) house for a BBQ. This morning we went for a walk on the trail and then headed over to Jack Fischer Park in Campbell. They have a fun water feature for kids there. Susan and Dax met up with us too. Below are some pix from this morning.
