Aunt Mel gave Alanna a pony ride for her 3rd birthday. We met Mel, Grandpa Barry, and Mel's friend Laura in Petaluma on Saturday for her first ride. She absolutely loved it!

Thanksgiving weekend, we headed over to Sylvan Hills Vineyard for a photo shoot. Our friend Aaron took wonderful photos of the four of us. Enjoy!

Our family had a really nice Thanksgiving. We celebrated at Sherry and John's house along with my parents, Mel, and her boyfriend Pete. We had a great time catching up, eating, and also enjoyed a post-turkey performance by Justin.

It's been almost a month since I last posted. It is hard to believe Ethan is now 6 months old! We've been busy celebrating birthdays (Sherry & myself), Laura's baby shower, visiting with family & friends, starting Ethan on solid foods, potty training, play dates with friends, & celebrating Thanksgiving.

Here are some recent pictures of E & A:

Halloween was pretty mellow at the Magers' this year. We carved a couple of pumpkins and enjoyed eating the seeds (they are delicious roasted with salt and cinnamon). We had the pleasure of visiting with my Mom, who came up for a few days. Alanna wore her butterfly costume all morning, but refused to have her picture taken in it. It rained on and off all day, so we were not sure if we'd make it out to trick-or-treat. By late afternoon, the butterfly costume was off, and it did not appear that it would be put on without a scene. Was it worth it? Not really! Instead, Alanna went around our house, knocked on all of the doors, and received candy from Grandma Ellen. She enjoyed it thoroughly. Hopefully next year the weather will cooperate and we will make it out to do the real thing.

A video of Alanna trick-or-treating:
Ethan is 5 months old! He rolled over (tummy to back) for the first time 2 weeks ago. The little guy is always gnawing on his hands, is it the beginning of teething? Another development that has occurred recently, is that he can now reach out and grab toys. They of course go directly into his mouth.

Alanna is 3!!! Last Friday we celebrated her birthday along with my parents. We went to the park, had pizza for dinner (Alanna's choice), and ate birthday cake. She requested that we not sing the birthday song, because, "the noise would be too loud and scare her." It was hard not to laugh.
