Escaping the heat in Bodega Bay

Last Tuesday, I picked up my parents and we drove out to the coast. When we left our house it was about 96F, forty minutes later we arrived at the beach and it was 75F. The weather was spectacular and the kids had fun playing in the sand. What a terrific afternoon adventure!

Alanna and Ethan are starting to play together! There are (brief) moments throughout the day, when they play without a squabble ensuing. I love it!

Camping at Richardson's Grove

Justin, Alanna, and I had a great time camping with friends over the 4th of July weekend (Ethan stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa). We went to Richardson's Grove, a campground along the Eel River (just south of Garberville). Alanna had a blast playing with friends, riding her scooter, and spending time at the river.
