The Magers' have some big news to share - we are moving next month! Justin has accepted a position with National Instruments as a Senior RF/Microwave Design Engineer. We will be relocating to Justin's hometown, Santa Rosa, CA, which is about 55 miles north of San Francisco. We're moving to wine country! Last week, I went with my in-laws to look at a few rentals, as well as a new school for Alanna. We found a really nice nursery school at Temple Beth Ami. Now we are just waiting to hear back from the owner of a condo to rent...keep your fingers crossed! We have the movers coming to do an estimate on Monday and found 40 free moving boxes on Craigslist. We're making progress.
Tomorrow I am off to Vegas for my friend Carolyn's wedding. Justin and the kids are heading to my in-laws for the weekend. Come Monday, it will be time to pack, pack, pack.

Today was Alanna's first day of school! She definitely enjoyed it. We are part of a parent co-op, so I will be working in the classroom approximately 3 times a month. Today, she really explored the classroom, and partook of all the activities. She particularly liked the dress-up area and playing with the cars outside.

For the past week, Ziggy, the school guinea pig was visiting us. Alanna *loved* having Ziggy here. We took him out daily and fed him lots of carrots and celery. Yesterday, I took Ziggy back to the school. When we arrived, the children in the 3-day class were very excited to see him.
All is well with little Ethan. He is full of smiles and giggles. He is gaining more head control everyday, and I imagine he'll be ready to face forward in the Baby Bjorn in a couple of weeks.

It is hard to believe Ethan is going to be 3 months old tomorrow! Time has been flying by. Our little guy has such a sweet and mellow demeanor. It is so easy to make him smile.
Alanna will be starting nursery school on the 9th. We went to a "welcome back picnic," on Wednesday, where she got to meet some of her classmates, read stories with her teacher Mrs. Sanyoo, and play at the park. She is really adjusting well to life with a little brother. Can you believe she is going to be 3 in 7 weeks?! Her favorite activities these days include singing, arts and crafts, puzzles, and reading books.
Last weekend we had Ethan's baby naming ceremony down in Santa Cruz. Ethan was surrounded by Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, who traveled far and wide (Oregon, NY, Connecticut, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, and Brisbane), to celebrate with him and welcome him into the family. We felt really blessed to have everyone there with us to make it such a wonderful day.
