The Sock Hop

Alanna attended her first sock hop a few weeks ago. The APT (Alliance of Parents and Teachers) organizes the dance as an annual fundraiser. There is a spirit day at school and then kids are welcome to attend the dance at the Veterans Memorial Hall. Alanna proudly sported the poodle skirt I made for her. She had so much fun at the dance!

2012

Happy New Year! We celebrated at home with fondue and friends. We rang in '12 at 9:00pm (East Coast NYE), so that all of the littles could get to bed. The evening was such fun -- there was plenty of laughter, good food, a little limbo, and most importantly good friends.

Birthday Surprise

I am back to blogging...sorry it has been awhile! I am finally posting pictures from December. Justin celebrated the big 3-5 on the 22nd. I surprised him with a night away on the 28th in San Francisco. We stayed at a hotel near the Embarcadero, and had a wonderful time exploring the Ferry Building. We had the best lattes ever at Blue Bottle Coffee and sampled "tasty salted pig parts," from Boccalone (seriously, that's what they're called). It was foodie heaven! That evening we had a delicious Italian dinner and then met our friends, Katie and Rex for a drink at Bourbon & Branch. It was a fantastic getaway.
