Eat your cruciferous veggies

A conversation over breakfast Saturday morning.

E: "Alanna, please eat 3 strawberries and then you can have more pancakes."
A (whining): "But Mommy, you know strawberries are not my favorite."
E: "What's your favorite sweetie?"
A: "Broccoli is my favorite."
E: "Would you like some broccoli instead of strawberries?"
A: "Yes"
E: "What's the magic word?"
A: "Please"
E:"That's fine, I will make you some broccoli. Alanna, here are 3 pieces of broccoli."
A (very excited): "Yum, my favorite!"
J: "Is she my child?"
