Halloween was pretty mellow at the Magers' this year. We carved a couple of pumpkins and enjoyed eating the seeds (they are delicious roasted with salt and cinnamon). We had the pleasure of visiting with my Mom, who came up for a few days. Alanna wore her butterfly costume all morning, but refused to have her picture taken in it. It rained on and off all day, so we were not sure if we'd make it out to trick-or-treat. By late afternoon, the butterfly costume was off, and it did not appear that it would be put on without a scene. Was it worth it? Not really! Instead, Alanna went around our house, knocked on all of the doors, and received candy from Grandma Ellen. She enjoyed it thoroughly. Hopefully next year the weather will cooperate and we will make it out to do the real thing.

A video of Alanna trick-or-treating:
Ethan is 5 months old! He rolled over (tummy to back) for the first time 2 weeks ago. The little guy is always gnawing on his hands, is it the beginning of teething? Another development that has occurred recently, is that he can now reach out and grab toys. They of course go directly into his mouth.

Here are some pictures from our trip to the pumpkin patch. It was so much fun!
