It is hard to believe Ethan is a month old already. Time has been flying by! Overall Ethan is a mellow, sleepy boy. He does get fussy in the evening, which is totally normal, but still a little hard on Mom and Dad. Thank goodness for Dr. Karp, who wrote "The Happiest Baby on the Block." His tips for soothing crying babies really works.
I got to see Ethan's first smile on Monday, it was so wonderful, and made the lack of sleep and evening fussiness all worth it.

It is hard to believe Ethan is 4 weeks old today! Time has been flying by. We enjoyed visits during the past week from Uncle Jon, Uncle Bryan, and our friends Jamie, Tate, Lilian, and Kirsten. We had lots of fun spending Tuesday and Wednesday with Grandma Ellen. Yesterday was my second day flying solo, I took A & E for a walk on the
trail, and even braved a trip to the supermarket.

Life with a toddler and a newborn has definitely been busy! Justin went back to work on Monday. I am so fortunate to have my parents close by, my Mom came over Sunday night and has spent most of the week with us. Not only is she terrific company, but she has been so helpful. Alanna has so much fun with her Grandma El. Next week we are going to spend a few days at my parent's house and then I am going to be flying solo. It is going to be challenging, but I know I can do it!
