It is hard to believe that we will be meeting our little guy in about 6 weeks! I was browsing through our photos earlier today and discovered this picture that we took in late September, when I was only 4 weeks along (almost 30 weeks ago). Justin took some pictures of me today, my how things have changed! It currently looks like there is a basketball in my belly.

Speaking of family members increasing in weight, I took our cat Chunk to the vet for his annual exam yesterday. We adopted Chunk and his brother Spike in April of 2003. At the time, both kittens weighed about 3.5 lbs. Well, Chunk has certainly grown into his name, our big boy tipped the scales at 24 lbs, 13.5 oz. He really doesn't eat that much, he is just sedentary. The vet said that he doesn't have any health issues, besides being obese. We now have to put him on a prescription diet, to help him lose some pounds. It is crazy to think that he only weighs 5 pounds less than Alanna. All I can say is, "oy vey." Below are photos to show how Chunk has increased in size over the past 5 years.

Other than that, things are pretty quiet around here. We went to a Passover Seder at Cousin Penny's house in Marin yesterday. Our family will be consuming our share of matzo this week. Fortunately Alanna seems to like it, especially with butter or cream cheese. We're going to do another Seder at my parent's house next weekend.

Things have been fairly quiet around here, although we have been keeping busy on the weekends. We had a delicious crepe brunch at Courtney and Aaron's house a couple of weeks ago. On the 30th I had plans to go out for brunch with two of my college girlfriends, Jamie and Deena, who were/are also preggo. Plans changed however, when Baby Lilian arrived early, so Deena and I stopped by Jamie's house to visit her adorable new baby, and then the two of us went to lunch.

Last Friday we went down to Justin's work for Teresa's 30th birthday lunch. All of the ladies thoroughly enjoyed meeting Alanna. Friday night, TJ and Jessika came over for dinner. Saturday morning, Mom and I headed up to Marin for Michelle's bridal shower (my Cousin's fiancee). Dad, Justin, and Alanna spent the day together.

We've been laying low this week, since Alanna has had a low-grade fever the past couple of days. We still can't decide if it's her molars coming through or a head cold. Unfortunately, we had to miss our first day of Music Together yesterday and gym this morning, but it's best not to risk infecting others. Hopefully she'll feel better tomorrow, so we can get out and enjoy the warm weather that's expected.

Aaron took these photos of Alanna looking through the tray of her booster seat. We all had a good laugh.

We had a really nice weekend. On Saturday morning, my Dad came over (Mom's in NY), and we headed up to my in-law's house in Santa Rosa. Sherry and John's retirement community had a bunny hunt for grandkids at noon. There was a separate egg hunt for toddlers, so Alanna found a bunch of eggs without too much competition or assistance from Mom. The adults were more disappointed than Alanna to find that the eggs were empty. No worries though, Sherry had chocolate eggs for us to snack on when we got back to the house. We had a nice relaxing afternoon and then ate a delicious meal before heading back home. Since we don't celebrate Easter, yesterday was a pretty mellow day. We met some friends for lunch in Mountain View and spent the rest of the afternoon playing outside and enjoying the beautiful weather.
